The new feature that launched Thursday, had Twitter NFT users in a frenzy. Circle icons are quickly changing to the new verified hexagon icons on everyone’s feeds.
The only group of people who may be upset is the “right click savers”. Right click savers are always leaving snarky commenting that they can screenshot and own your NFT art. With the new update, only the rightful owner will be able to display their NFT. This is done by connecting your wallet to Twitter and adding the image from your wallet.
The new feature is currently only available for Twitter Blue and iOS users only.

NFT Plans for Meta?
Twitter wasn’t the only social media company making noise with NFTs, META is rumored to be diving in as well. Reports are Facebook and Instagram have future plans to roll out a similar feature like Twitter did yesterday.
There are also rumblings of META creating a NFT marketplace for creators and collectors. This seems to fit into their ongoing efforts to get ahead of web3. When Facebook rebranded to Meta in late October of 2021, it was very apparent what direction Mark and co. are headed.
Serena Williams and Neymar Ape In
Serena Williams is making NFT headlines again, as she gets another great gift from her husband. Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian gifted his wife a CryptoPunk (SerenaPunk) last year, but they added to their NFT portfolio this week.
Serena greeted her nearly 11 million followers with a GM this am. This GM was not like any others of hers though, as she revealed her new BAYC to the world. Her GM was received nicely by Apes and they seemed to love that she “aped in”.

We know how this space can be crazy, right? If Serena aping in wasn’t a big enough deal, another celebrity that aped in yesterday may be the largest to date for BAYC.
World Famous Soccer player Neymar, announced to his 55+ million followers on Twitter “I am an ape!”. After the tweet, he promptly changed his PFP on Instagram to show his 168 million followers.
