Twitter roasts Justin Bieber for spending $1.29M on Bored Ape NFT worth five times less | Daily Mail Online

On Monday, Grammy winner Justin Bieber showed off his ‘lonely’ Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) non-fungible token (NFT), which he bought Saturday for 500 ethereum worth $1.29M.

The 27-year-old Canadian crooner – who boasts 516.1M social media followers – quoted his 2021 track Lonely in the caption of his Instagram post.

‘What if you had it all, but nobody to call, maybe then you’d know me. Cuz I’ve had everything but no one’s listening and that’s just f***in lonely,’ Justin wrote.

Bored Ape #3001 – which had a market price of 104 ether or $208,237 – joins Bieber’s growing portfolio of 619 NFTs from 49 collections on OpenSea.

It didn’t take Twitter-verse long to roast the Christmas Love singer for paying nearly 300 percent more for his latest ape acquisition.

‘Justin Bieber really paid 5x the Bored Ape floor price for an ape with no rare traits He just got finessed,’ Twitter user @LilMoonLambo wrote.

The Bored Ape Yacht Club (featuring 10K NFTs) isn’t just a cryptocurrency it’s also a members-only social club granting access to exclusive get-togethers online and in person.
