Facebook’s Spark AR Studio has been steadily growing in capabilities since its inception a few years ago and with the addition of enabling interactive audio features, Pakko was presented with a very unique opportunity to create an amazing Instagram filter for Fox Networks.
Tasked with creating an Instagram filter that would enable users to get movie recommendations for their Tubi streaming channel, Pakko went about programming a highly complex filter.
The filter worked in a simple way: Based on how loud users screamed, it would then display random monsters behind their shoulders as well as a horror movie recommendation. This was a project that kept Pakko working into the wee hours of the night, as he crafted some unique tech solutions on SparkAR that had never been done before in the history of Instagram filters.
