EE is launching augmented reality glasses so you can watch TV on a private virtual screen NO ONE else can see

SMART glasses that allow you to virtually project massive screens among your real-world environment for private entertainment are coming to the UK.

The clever Nreal Air tech means you could watch a match on a massive scale from a park or just about anywhere.

Glasses will be released later this spring[/caption]

It’s being launched exclusively with EE later in the spring.

An Air Casting mode lets the wearer mirror their phone screen onto a 130-inch HD virtual display from up to six meters away.

And things step into mixed reality territory with the MR Space mode, where you can move about several screens before your eyes.

Users will be able to position multiple virtual screens as large as 201 inches in a 3D space.

The sunglasses-inspired wearable come with nose pads for comfort and open-ear speakers.

And people who already use prescription glasses need not miss out.

Nreal Air can be kitted out with a lens frame for the individuals own prescription lenses if necessary.

The exact pricing is being kept under wraps for the moment.

Peng Jin, co-founder of Nreal, said the tech will “start a revolutionary transformation” just as the internet once did, changing how we watch videos, exercise, and play video games.

EE’s Alistair Wilson added: “We’re working with the best content providers and the most innovative technology companies in the world to create entirely new experiences for our customers.

“Nreal are at the forefront of AR, and we’re delighted to be the exclusive UK partner for the launch of their new Nreal Air AR glasses.

“When combined with the power of 5G, it really does open up new possibilities for seamless streaming and access to new types of content on the move – these are really exciting times for mobile.”
